Tom Tracy has worn several hats during his chosen career as a musician. Like many other musicians of the era, Tom knew what he wanted to do after seeing the Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show on February 9, 1964. Performing in a five piece band in high school playing songs by the Beatles, Kinks and the Rolling Stones was the the beginning. Tom has performed professionally as a singer and guitarist since 1972 in multiple formats including performing solo, as a duo and trio, and in various bands including a touring show band. Playing gigs in many clubs and restaurants from Cape Cod to Florida, and from New York to Los Angeles, took Tom through the mid-nineties. A performance at Carnegie Hall in 1980 opening for British R&B artist Joan Armatrading, was indeed a highlight. As a song writer, Tom has had a song that he co-wrote covered by singer Roberta Flack as well as another one of his own by Cape Cod singer/guitarist Michael Oakland.
